The Parent Management Committee manages the Centre, represented by parents and the Centre director. Parents and carers are entitled and encouraged to nominate for a position on the committee.
The director is responsible to the committee for day-to-day management and is the nominated supervisor for the Centre.
The committee meets monthly, receiving reports on the centres operation and manages various tasks such as centre policy, staffing, children’s programs and maintenance and policy decisions. A main responsibility is organising two family events, which are held in May and December each year when Centre families come together and celebrate with their children and the educators.
The committee is supported by a book-keeper and various Government agencies. As a result our committee meetings and tasks are enjoyable and stress-free. Committee news is communicated to parents via our monthly newsletter.
