The Child Care Subsidy is paid for a child’s absence from care for up to 42 days per calendar year. Some absences are exempt from this 42 day limit and are as follows:
- Illness with a medical certificate (any immediate family member)
- School closure
- Court order
- Non immunised
- Public holiday
- Attendance at Pre School
- Work related (employer letter required)
- Period of local emergency
Parents need to complete attendance record and initial after an absence of any sort. All record cards must be filled in correctly.
Cancellation of Placement
When a place at the centre is no longer required, notice in writing is required four weeks prior.
